The essential duties are to process customer payments for electric service and landfill accounts; post payments, prepare deposits, maintain money drawer, enter checks, process bad debt cards, permits, maintain records, balance cash drawer and checks, post all transactions and prepare end of day reports.
The minimum qualifications are:
At least one year office experience using basic office equipment.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, other employees of DES and the general public in a professional businesslike manner.
Basic computer and basic math skills.
Must be able to manage multiple activities, assume responsibility, and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
Must have the physical ability, with or without reasonable accommodations, to sit, stand, bend, lean, and reach.
